What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is God's Word to mankind. We believe that unless a person is born again from above, they can not see the kingdom of God and enjoy its benefits.

We believe that Jesus Christ has the Name above all names, and in His Name alone can a person be saved from this dark place and from the wrath of God that is coming. We believe that we were made to worship God with everything we are: our emotions, our minds, our voices, our hands, our bodies, our relationships, our vocations, indeed our very lives. We believe that Jesus still baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, and that that is a separate experience from being born again.

About Us

We are a non-denominational, independent, full-gospel church based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are a registered charitable organization in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency.

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word to mankind, and seek to do all that we do according to the revelation contained therein. We want to learn what pleases our Father in Heaven, walk in His ways, and be a help to all around us - especially those who love Him and want to walk with Him.

We have associations with churches in the U.S.A., England, Germany, and India.

Our Order of Service

Our Sunday morning services are organized roughly as follows:

  • Welcome
  • Praise and Worship
  • Offering
  • Thanksgivings and Testimonies, Prayer
  • Teaching from the Word
  • Fellowship (Coffee and snacks provided)

Our Praise and Worship

The Scriptures give us instructions about how we are to worship and offer ourselves. So, we

  • Sing [Psalm 91:1, 47:6]
  • Shout [Psalm 47:1, 100:1]
  • Clap our hands [Psalm 47:1]
  • Bow [Psalm 5:7, 95:6]
  • Kneel [Psalm 95:6]
  • Dance and leap [Psalm 149:3, 150:4]
  • Play instruments [Psalm 150:3-5]

Our Thanksgivings, Testimonies and Prayer Time

Part way through our service, we have a time where anyone in the meeting can share a thanksgiving, a testimony, or move in a gift of the Holy Spirit. Its an opportunity for everyone to be encouraged by what God is doing for someone particular. We often also have a prayer time where we pray for individual and collective requests.

"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receves, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

Our Teaching

Having responded to His call to come to Him through Jesus, God's way of changing our lives is to teach us His ways. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ (Romans 10:7). Through instruction from His Word, we learn what pleases the Lord, how to partake of His great salvation, and how to deal skillfully with everything life down here throws at us.

"My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body." Proverbs 4:20-22
"... the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." 1Timothy 1:15
